Fox News Signs Tomi Lahren

Fox News announced Wednesday it has signed conservative commentator Tomi Lahren as a contributor.

“She will make her debut as a contributor on tonight’s edition of Hannity at 10PM/ET,” Fox News said in a press release.

Prior to signing with FNC, Lahren hosted Tomi on TheBlaze, as well as On Point with Tomi Lahren on One America News Network (OANN).

TheBlaze suspended Lahren in March after she proclaimed on The View that she was pro-choice on constitutional grounds.

The 24-year-old later tweeted regarding the controversy that she has views from across the political spectrum.

TheBlaze CEO Glenn Beck noted at the time that Lahren’s views on abortion had apparently changed.

In 2016, Lahren had called out actress Lena Dunham for her radical pro-abortion views.

“(Yet) we have Lena freakin’ Dunham out there wishing she could have murdered a fetus,” Lahren said. “Wishing for the option to kill your child doesn’t exactly say much about the cause, her character, or the pro-choice movement.”

TheBlaze and Lahren signed a settlement in May officially ending their working relationship.

“Ms. Lahren is relieved to have this litigation behind her and she looks forward to connecting with her audience and fan base on the pressing political issues facing our country in the days to come,” Lahren’s lawyer said in a statement following the resolution.

Lahren has a significant social media presence, with 4.6 million followers on Facebook and 793,000 followers on Twitter.

She is known for her viral “Final Thoughts” videos, including one following Beyonce’s pro-Black Panthers halftime performance at the Super Bowl in 2016.

After parting with TheBlaze, Lahren began working in a communications role at the Great American Alliance super PAC, which is supporting President Donald Trump’s 2020 re-election bid.

The pundit responded to her new FNC position in a message on Facebook.

“I am blessed and honored to join the Fox News team,” Lahren wrote. “This exciting new step will allow me to give voice to all the America-loving patriots who have had my back since day one. I will remain a solid and passionate advocate for you.”
